Nominal pressure
— technical parameter of different equipment, pumps, heat exchangers, containers, operating under pressure, pipelines, fittings etc. Each product has specific sizes, based on calculations of strength. Calculations take into account the materials, selected for manufacture of the product, with specifications of their strength at 20 °C, which provides a specified service life of the equipment under certain operational pressure of the medium. This pressure is called nominal (conventional) pressure.

Pulse sensor (Reed switch)
— electromechanical device, which represents a pair of ferromagnetic contacts, sealed in a glass flask. When a permanent magnet is placed close to the Reed switch or a solenoid magnet is turned on, the contacts are closed. Reed switches are used as non-contact switches, proximity sensors etc.
-
The contacts of reed switch are located in a vacuum or inactive gas and do not get burnt, even if there is a sparkle when the contacts are closed or ruptured.
-
Long service life of reed switches. It is believed, that is the reed switch is not broken and not disposed to high amperage, the service life is endless, (though, the technical data of reed switches show some restrictions, 108—109 and more responses).
-
A smaller size in comparison with a classical relay switch, counted on the same level of amperage.
-
No need to use heat-proof and precious metals for contacts.
-
Reed switches are soft-running.
-
Quick (in comparison with classical relay switches) reaction.

Маx. temperature of the measured liquid

Range of operational temperatures of the measured liquid
— the range of maximal and minimal temperatures of the measured liquid, at which the flow meter operates without operation failures.
Теmperature of the environment

Protection class (Ingress Protection Rating)
— the system of classifications of protection levels of the cover of different equipment against hard objects and water in accordance with the international standard IEC 60529 (DIN 40050, State standard ГОСТ 14254-96).
The degree of protection refers to protection method, tested by standard methods, which is provided by the cover against hazardous particles (hazardous current carrying and dangerous mechanical parts), getting of hard objects and (or) water inside the cover.
The code corresponds to IPXX, where X means a number, or "number"X, if the degree is not specified. The numbers can be followed by one or two letters, providing the additional information. Maximal protection in accordance with this classification is - IP68: dust-proof device, resistant to continuous penetration into water.
The first number — protection against strange objects:
| Level | Protection against strange objects with the diameter | Description |
| 0 | - | No protection |
| 1 | >50 mm | Big surfaces of the object, no protection against conscious contact |
| 2 | >12,5 mm | Fingers and similar objects |
| 3 | >2,5 mm | Tools |
| 4 | >1 mm | Most of wires, bolts and so on. |
| 5 | dust-protected | Some amount of dust might get inside, but it will not influence the operation of the device. Full protection against contact. |
| 6 | dust-proof | Dust cannot get inside the device. Full protection against contact. |
The second number — protection against water
| Level | Protection against strange objects with the diameter | Description |
| 0 | - | No protection |
| 1 | vertical drops | Vertically dropping water should not influence the operation of the device |
| 2 | vertical drops binangled at 15° | Vertically dropping water should not influence the operation of the device if it is inclined at 15° from operational position. |
| 3 | falling splashes | Protection against rain. The water falls vertically or at 60° against vertical position. |
| 4 | splashes | Protection against splashes, falling in any direction. |
| 5 | streams | Protection against water streams of any direction. |
| 6 | sea waves | Protection against sea waves and strong water streams. The water, which gets inside the device, should not influence its operation. |
| 7 | short-term penetration into the water up to 1m | At short-term penetration water does not get inside in the amount, which might influence the operation of the device. Constant operation under water is impossible. |
| 8 | continuous penetration into the water up to 1m | Fully water-proof. The device can operate under water. |
Celsius Degree (°С)
— temperature measurement unit. 0 degrees correspond to the temperature of water freezing. 100 degrees correspond to the temperature of water boiling under normal pressure.
Bar
— pressure measurement unit, which corresponds to one atmosphere. One bar equals 105 N/m².
Мilimeter
— length measurement unit, which equals 1/1000 part of the meter.
1 m = 10 dm = 100 сm = 1000 mm
Inch
— distance measurement unit in some European non-metric measurement systems. One inch equals 2,54 сm.
Liter
— metric volume measurement unit. Standard volume unit in SI system - cubical meter (m3).
1 l = 1 dc3 = 0,001 m3
Kilogram
— mass measurement unit, one of the main units of SI system.
GPS (Eng. Global Positioning System)
— satellite navigation system. Allows in any place on Earth (excluding subpolar areas), almost at any weather conditions, and also in space close to the planet, to define the location and speed of objects. The system is designed, implemented and used by Ministry of Defence of the USA.
The basic principle of use of the system is to define the location by means of measuring the distance to the object from points with known coordinates — satellites. The distance is calculated by the time of delay of the signal from the moment of its transmission by the satellite to its receiving by the GPS-receiver. Тhat means, to define 3-dimensional coordinates, GPS-receiver must know the distance to three satellites and time of the GPS system. Тhus, to define the coordinates and the height of the receiver, the sygnals from at least 4 satellites are needed..
Global Navigational Satellite System (GLONASS)
— Soviet Union and Russian satellite navigation system, designed in accordance with the order of Ministry of Defence of USSR.
Russian global navigation satellite system (GLONASS), designed for quick navigational-and-time supply of unlimited number of users of land, sea, air and space bases. Access to civil sygnals of GLONASS is available anywhere in the world on the basis of presidential decree granted to Russian and foreign consumers free of charge and without restriction.
